Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of MakeMyDay, a conversational calendar assistant operated by Floodgates Studio LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By signing up for MakeMyDay, you agree to these terms.
The service
MakeMyDay lets you manage your Google Calendar and personal reminders through SMS text messages. You send us a text, we read or update your calendar, and text you back. We also send scheduled reminders and check-in messages based on commitments you create.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use MakeMyDay. By signing up, you confirm that you are at least 13 and that the phone number you provide is yours or that you have authorization to use it.
Your account
Your account is tied to your phone number. You are responsible for any activity that occurs through your phone number. If you believe someone is using your account without authorization, text STOP to immediately unsubscribe and contact us.
Google Calendar access
MakeMyDay connects to your Google Calendar through Google's OAuth authorization. By connecting your calendar, you authorize us to read, create, modify, and delete calendar events on your behalf — but only in response to your explicit requests via SMS. We always ask for confirmation before making changes. You can disconnect your calendar at any time by texting "disconnect calendar."
SMS messaging
By signing up, you consent to receive SMS messages from MakeMyDay at the phone number you provide. These messages include responses to your queries, scheduled reminders, commitment check-ins, and service-related notifications. We do not send marketing or promotional messages.
Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Message frequency varies based on your usage.
You can stop receiving messages at any time by texting STOP. Text HELP for help. Text RESUME to resubscribe.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use MakeMyDay to:
- Violate any laws or regulations.
- Interfere with or disrupt the service.
- Send abusive, threatening, or harmful content.
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or data.
- Use the service for any purpose other than personal calendar and schedule management.
Paid tiers
MakeMyDay offers a free tier and optional paid tiers with additional features. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You can cancel at any time by texting "cancel subscription" or contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.
AI-generated responses
MakeMyDay uses artificial intelligence to understand your messages and generate responses. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated responses may occasionally be incorrect. Always verify important scheduling details in your Google Calendar directly. We are not responsible for missed events, incorrect calendar modifications, or other consequences of AI errors.
Availability
We aim to keep MakeMyDay available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or factors beyond our control. We are not liable for any losses caused by service interruptions.
Intellectual property
MakeMyDay and its associated branding, design, and technology are owned by Floodgates Studio LLC. Your calendar data and personal information remain yours.
Limitation of liability
MakeMyDay is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Floodgates Studio LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to missed appointments, incorrect calendar modifications, or data loss.
Termination
You can stop using MakeMyDay at any time by texting STOP. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms or if we discontinue the service. We will provide reasonable notice before discontinuing the service.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you via SMS before the changes take effect. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict of law principles.
